Easy recipe for Iced coffee pops. 3 ingredient recipe that can be put together in no time. Perfect dessert for summer heat. Refreshing coffee popsicles.
We just arrived in India a couple of weeks back and we are still settling down. Amidst the dry, hot and sunny weather, coffee is the one that has kept me going. I need a coffee hug many times during the day. With hundred pending things lined up to be done, I just forget everything when I sit for a coffee break. I wanted to try something cold flavored with coffee. I do like cold coffee but I wanted to try a frozen treat. I tried this Popsicle and I should say that its one of the best treats I have made this summer. The secret to any good coffee or coffee dessert is the brew. I usually stick to my trusted moka pot . My friend introduced me to coffee capsules recently and I am eyeing on the Nespresso machine. She brewed some really strong and flavorful coffee using Gourmesso coffee capsules and I was blown away by the fresh aroma and the strong flavor. She used Gourmesso’s Honduras Pura Forte blend and I am still talking about the flavor of it almost everyday now.
Lets get into some serious coffee business. Here is how to do an easy and flavorful coffee popsicles. You will just need 3 ingredients. 1. Strong Coffee 2. Sweetened Condensed Milk 3. Full Fat Milk

Lets get some serious coffee brew. You will need half a cup of strong coffee. I brewed my coffee in a moka pot. Machine brew works perfectly fine too! Add it to a bowl.

Add in a cup of milk and mix well to combine. You can do 50-50 cream and milk to get a rich ice pop. I have added just plain full fat milk today. No-No-No-No 2% milk or fat-free milk please. You will need some body for the ice pop. So please use full fat milk or a combination of cream and milk.

Now comes the sweetened condensed milk. Heavenly, heavenly!!! Add in half a can of it. No need to perfectly measure. An approximation will do. If you want a really sweet pop, add more to your taste. I added 300 grams of sweetened condensed milk today. I always lick whats leftover in the can. I recently discovered that I was not the only one to do it.

Pour it into moulds.

Cover.

Take it straight to the freezer.
Now, wait for 24 hours for it to set well! To serve: Run the moulds in water for few seconds so the pops release from the moulds easily. Once the wait is over, un-mold and enjoy one. Maybe two for its so good! Hope you will try it at home. Lets pass on some coffee love! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum! yum!

Easy and quick recipe for cold coffee milk shake made with coffee, milk and vanilla ice-cream. Perfect recipe for hot summer.
During my college days, there used to be this little snack bar near Stella Maris college where we used to hang out. The menu was fairly simple. Hot Coffee, Cold Coffee, Masala Tea and Hot Chocolate. That’s it. Those were the days when the espressos and the lattes were slowly showing up in cafes in India and cold coffee shake was still the king. Cold coffee is something I have never said no to. I am more of a latte person now but I do not remember ordering anything but cold coffee then. Chennai is known for its hot weather and a cold beverage was something we craved for all the time. We always used to sulk about the humidity and the weather and our friends used to joke saying even Chennai has 4 seasons – Warm, Hot, hotter and hottest. Its kind of true. The humidity makes it even miserable. Even with all the madness, there is something so mesmerizing about that city.
I like to use freshly brewed strong coffee for this recipe. If you have a coffee machine, make a fresh brew of coffee and cool it in the refrigerator. Even coffee capsules work equally good. If you are familiar with Nespresso capsules, do checkout the amazing varieties in Gourmesso coffee capsules . Gourmesso pods are alternative to nespresso capsules. Here is how to do cold coffee shake.

Take a blender and add in cold milk, strong coffee and two scoops of vanilla ice-cream. I have not added any sugar in this recipe as the ice-cream itself is sweet. If you want a sweeter shake, add in few tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk.

Blend the ingredients for 10-15 seconds until frothy. Immediately pour in serving cups.

Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and serve immediately.

Cold coffee shake is one of the best things in summer.
